THE PROCESS
Intros
I.
Finding the right fit between patient and provider is often the key to successful treatment. I offer a 10-15 minute intro call to discuss your goals, answer any questions, and ensure my approach aligns with what you're looking for.
Psychiatric evaluation
II.
This initial meeting is about 50-60 minutes long and on a HIPAA- compliant telehealth platform. I will spend time getting to know who you are, what is important to you, and significant points in your story that bring us together.
Treatment planning
III.
After the initial evaluation we take time to explore diagnostic impressions and treatment options such as therapy, medication and lifestyle habits. This is an open two way discussion where we develop a treatment plan together, specific to you. My goal is to help you feel empowered and supported in your next steps.
Medication
management
IV.
We will meet for regular check ins to see how you are doing. The follow up appointment is typically 20-25 minutes. The frequency changes throughout the course of treatment. In the beginning, we tend to see each other every 2-4 weeks.
*Open for new clients. Offering self pay and insurance options. In network with Aetna, Cigna, and Optum — providing rapid insurance in network verification and fast appointment booking.
How Does Therapy Fit In?
Therapy is a powerful tool in taking care of your mental health and it is almost always an aspect of my treatment recommendations. Research shows better quality of life and functioning outcomes with therapy and medications in combination than with medication alone. I view medication as a tool that can help you deepen your work in therapy. If you already have a therapist - great! I am happy to collaborate with them as part of your treatment team. If you are unsure about therapy, previously had bad experiences, or want help finding a therapist, this is something we can talk about and I can help problem solve if needed. I do not provide therapy alone at this juncture.
